Just returned from a wonderful evening at St James the Great, Hanslope where Fr Ecclestone has once again shown how alive the Catholic Faith is in the Ebbsfleet Parishes.
Each year he presents not only those of school age for the Sacrament of Confirmation, but also those who are young adults in their twenties and thirties. This evening was no exception and indeed for me there was a first: the sight of a young married man presenting his wife for Confirmation.
A joyful Mass of St Matthias with Baptism (one adult and one child) and Confirmation for all the candidates was followed by the usual grand spread with the most enormous Confirmation cake which Fr Gary indicated that he didn't want to have to take any home... Discuss?
