In today’s marketplace, having a Professional Engineers license is rapidly becoming a necessity in various engineering fields. The New York Chapter of the IEEE, Power & Energy Society, SHPE-NYC, along with the generous help of Con Edison are offering a series of peer guided study sessions for the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.
Weekly study sessions will be held at the Con Edison Headquarters, located at 4 Irving Place in Lower Manhattan. To kick-off the study sessions, Neil Weisenfeld, B.S.E.E., P.E., manager of Distribution Cable Systems at Con Edison and Chairman of the PES/IAS New York Chapter (IEEE Power & Energy Society), along with Pedro Perez-Cabezas, Associate Engineer at Con Edison’s Central Engineering Depart and Secretary of the PES/IAS New York Chapter (IEEE Power & Energy Society), will provide an introduction and explanation of test requirements, study and test taking tips, and available resources for the FE examination.
The kick-off event will be held on June 30th, 2010.
A majority of the sessions will be run as peer “study groups”, but instructors will be available for selected sessions.
If you are interested in participating in these sessions and furthering your career and professional development, or if you have any questions, please contact Pedro Perez-Cabezas at perezcabezasp@coned.com. We look forward to many engineers taking advantage of this unique opportunity.
