Since debuting with ‘Dago Mentality’ and ‘The Sagas of Klashnekoff’ back in 2004 this Hackney born MC has been collecting fans on both the underground Hip-Hop scene and on the mainstream (in the shape of The Arctic Monkeys & Pete Doherty) with style of urban documentary delivered with a unique brand of wit and wordplay that is a devastating as his name would suggest. Classic singles like ‘Murda’ and all three of his full length albums, including 2007’s ‘LionheartL Tussle With The Beast’ and last year’s ‘Back To The Sagas’ have been critically acclaimed and it is obvious why this man is now considered a pioneer paving the way for many Hip-Hop & Grime MCs who have followed.

Smiley Culture Legend of Saxon Sound Sadly Passes Away Today in Police Raid

Reggae Star Smiley Culture, Legend of Saxon Sound has sadly passed away today, during a police drugs raid on his home. The famous UK Reggae Toaster, originally a member of the Legendary Saxon Sound System, the London based Reggae Sound was famous as a nurturing ground for many of the UKs top early Reggae and Hip-Hop MCs and DJs. Smiley Culture had huge cross over hits with Cockney Translation and Police Officer, both songs dealt with identity, Racism, Police Brutality, and also highlighted the difficulties of the Black Community, in 1980's Thatcher's Britain. Smiley Culture, along with Tippa Irie, Maxi Priest and several other successful UK based Reggae Stars, helped promote modern Caribbean Diaspora culture to the UK, and spread the music to a wider audience. Smiley Culture was also the cousin of MC Merlin, an early UK Recording Hip-Hop MC.

"F**K THA BUFF!!!!" Getting Rid of Graffiti (Rare 1992 Book Scan)

It has been said before that a healthy Graffiti scene reflects a cultural city. London had in the past a very vibrant and unique Graffiti style, in the 70's with a fashion Skin Head and Punk graffiti and later the "New York Graffiti". To outsiders it would appear that those days are long gone. Nowadays with mandatory 18 month Prison sentences, wipe clean panels and texting the local council will get a buff team out within 24hrs, will it ever be the same?
