For those who are interested here are some images from the Spem in alium concert held last Saturday in St Mary & St Giles, Stony Stratford.
The "Spem in alium" by Thomas Tallis was sung by the 40 singers being placed around the north, south and west galleries of the church and the effect was truly remarkable with the sound washing over us like waves.
Many have heard the piece on CD but never live - we were fortunate to have it sung twice and with the 8 choirs being moved into different positions in the gallery for the second performance.
The other choral pieces were sung from the chancel.
