Something to Celebrate.....
TODAY the OFSTED Inspectors allowed us to officially announce the result of the inspection of St Mary & St Giles CE (Aided) Junior School which took place ten days before the break for the Christmas holidays.
I am sure that you will all be delighted learn (no pun intended!) that St Mary & St Giles School has been declared an Outstanding School. This is the highest category that can be earned at an Inspection, and reflects very highly on the dedication and sheer hard work put in over many years by the Headteacher, Teachers, Ancillary Staff, Governors and Volunteer helpers at the School. Nor should we forget the children of the school whose enthusiasm and commitment to learning is a joy to observe.
This week also sees the follow up, Statutory Inspection of Aided Schools (SIAS), Inspection looking at the Christian Ethos of the School and the links with the Church and Community. We hope that this too brings forth a similar glowing report, but why it can't take place at the same time as the OFSTED Inspection is beyond me.
