The Africa Fund - Christian leadership

Walking with kids at an orphanage in Uganda

The Africa Fund was established in 1986, initially under Knox Presbyterian Church, Spokane, WA, and later through New Horizons Foundation. Its purpose is to foster the development of Christian leadership among African nationals through critical initiative that meet very real needs through:

  • Educational sponsorships
  • Improved health resources
  • Evangelistic outreach
  • Sustainable development projects
  • Acts of mercy for the poor

Since some of the most effective missions work is done by nationals themselves, this fund helps African Christians who are ministering to their own people. Specific projects are selected to meet physical, education and spiritual needs.
