After the review, the students practiced one by one. They first framed a situation and then delivered the pitch. Later they received feedback from the audience and the expositor. Students were looking forward to attending the SHPE Annual Conference so they got a set of tools to make a more effective, quick introduction. Below is an excerpt from Natalie's presentation:
"Since there are only 30 seconds to catch the audience (mostly one to one); information should be relevant to them and to the situation –career fair, networking event, interview start. Content should be complemented with self confidence, enthusiasm, a good handshake, and eye contact to generate better attention."Check out her slides here:
