At this years' SHPE National Conference in Phoenix, Arizona, SHPE-NYC received a well deserved recognition and was honored with the following awards:
- National Large Professional Chapter of the Year
- Region 4 Professional Chapter of the Year
- National Most Improved Chapter of the Year
SHPE-NYC has flourished in recent years behind the strong leadership of its executive boards. This strength has lead to record numbers in chapter growth and corporate partnerships. We would like to recognize the 2007 – 2008 executive board as it is through their dedication to SHPE's mission and goals that made these awards possible. A critical component to our success is you, our members and corporate partners, without your support none of the recognition received would have been possible. It is on these grounds we share these awards with you, and we should all celebrate its achievement. The present Executive Board is committed to providing you with a series of quality events and workshops throughout the year.
